Reviewing this adorable 7 Chakra Healing Bead Necklace from Supernova, plus a bit of crystal and chakra talk!
midst the chaos of last week’s Eclipse and astrological shifts, I had the joy of receiving my order from Supernova in the mail! I had ordered a free pendant that required only shipping (which I may review in the future!) and while doing that I saw a 7 chakra healing bead necklace I liked and ordered as well.
The shipping seemed a little slow but it arrived intact and well packaged within the time suggested, on a cheap gold plated chain which I removed. Usually in the past when ordering crystals and jewelry I could sense everything the item had been through energetically so it was to my delight when I held the 7 chakra bead necklace in my hands and it felt energetically clear and clean! No need to bust out with sage or Reiki like I would ordinarily have done.
I wore this necklace all week and despite dropping it from time to time the beads have remained beautiful and unscathed. Many necklaces and bracelets like this have been known to break easily in the past, this one wasn’t so!
The crown chakra appears to be Amethyst, followed by Lapiz Lazuli, Turquoise, Aventurine, Tiger’s Eye and a crystal I am unsure about ending off with a lovely little Carnelian. I found this combination to be very appropriate and pleasing! It would have been great if the company had listed the crystal beads used, perhaps with a small blurb about their properties for those with less experience.
You can look up gem properties here at one of my favorite resources.
Crown Chakra- Amethyst, has always been my number one choice for crown chakra work, aside from Selenite which is another long-standing favorite, this gem is known to bring unasked for divine protection and intervention! And truly looking back there are always times when I have felt I needed this and was grateful for having received! A little more information on Amethyst and it’s psychic protection and intuition bolstering effect here.
Other gems that could have worked: Clear Quartz, Rutilated Quartz, Selenite, Sugilite, Charoite, and Howlite.
Third Eye- Lapis Lazuli, that beautiful shade of Indigo is one that has always been tricky to match in the past, Lapis felt like the most natural choice here! Not only is Lapis known for being a third eye clearer and healer but it is also great for opening communication and confidence in a way that is brilliantly balancing.
Other gems that could have worked: Apophyllite, Iolite, Sapphire, Sodalite( Also recommended for the Throat Chakra), Tanzanite.
Throat Chakra- Turquoise, Our center for communication is known to be best supported by this gem because of its known properties to release old behaviors and patterns such as martyrdom etc. Hear more about the known properties of turquoise here.
Other gems that could have worked: Aquamarine, Blue Calcite, Blue Chalcedony, Blue Lace Agate, Blue Quartz, Celestite, Blue Kyanite, Larimar
Heart Chakra- Aventurine, the only chakra that can be supported by two colors, green and or pink.
Other gems that could have worked: Amazonite, Emerald, Malachite, Peridot, Rhodochrosite, Rose Quartz, Unakite
Solar Plexus- Tiger’s Eye, known to be highly effective in rearing confidence, I was pleased to see this gem used. It was once widely popular and for whatever reason appeared to be less so more recently.
Other gems that could have worked: Amber, Citrine, Gold, Golden Topaz, Pyrite, Yellow Calcite, Yellow Fluorite, Yellow Jasper.
Sacral Chakra- Mystery Gem. My best-educated guess is that the gem used here is Sunstone. Truly any bright orange gem could have worked here, this is known to be the center of creativity, passion, creation. My first choice would have been Orange Calcite.
Other gems that could have worked: Aragonite, Carnelian, Copper, Moonstone, Orange Calcite, Pearls, Sunstone, Vanadinite, Wulfenite.
Root Chakra- Carnelian I personally would have preferred a tourmaline or obsidian gem here, however, carnelian brought a nice balance and color variation to this pendant.
Other gems that could have worked: Black Agate, Black Tourmaline, Garnet, Hematite, Jet, Obsidian, Petrified Wood, Red Jasper, Red Tiger’s Eye, Ruby, Smokey Quartz.
Aside from great gem choices I found the work and placement of the gems to be nicely done too, the knotwork was quite flexible (which could be fun for shaping the pendant perhaps) but also strong and sturdy! The clasp is quite cheap but could easily be replaced by something stronger if you were truly interested and headed to the craft store.
I was delighted to make it through a challenging week and having felt more supported and balanced to which I tribute a portion of the credit to having worn this necklace.
All in all, after spending $17.95 USD I found this product to be totally worth it and a great idea for gifting to family and friends for special occasions! They are still available through the Supernova website, should you wish to order your very own!
Do you know the mystery gem used in this pendant? I would love to hear your thoughts and guesses! I usually consider myself to be an intermediate gem practitioner but last week I found myself stumped! Write in and tell me what you think!
