Self Coaching Through The 7 Main Chakras and Essential Oils

The 7 Main Chakras

These are energy centers in the body that can be accessed like a data bank, energy is coming in and out of each center and hopefully, like your checkbook, it is balanced. Too little in flow or too little output can create blockages or congestion. This energy, life force, is what sustains and motivates us to make certain choices, actions, and words to describe our needs and behaviors.

  • Cinnamon Bark, Frankincense, and doTERRA’s Balance blend.Root The root chakra is our energetic center at the seat of our spine which connects us to earth, many consider this chakra when grounding! It stores the data of our security, how we feel about where are supported and sustained in our lives. Typically, ‘lack’ issues can be found here, this is also where we keep our wallets in our back pocket! Frequently when people have discomfort in this area there is financial strain occurring too. On Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, this would be the bottom of the pyramid, representing our physical needs, safety, and security.                         Journal Prompt: Do you feel safe, secure and supported?                                                  Corresponding Essential Oil: My favorite place for diluted grounding oils such as Vetiver,
  • Sacral One of my favorite chakras, the sacral is where we step out of the primal needs and more into creativity, birthing, and creation. Located at the level of the sexual organs is where we store our drive and motivation to thrive, to do more than just survive but to procreate and grow.     Journal Prompt: Have you been able to create anything? (to include solutions!)                              Corresponding Essential Oil: I adore using fruity/flower oils here like Wild Orange, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Lemon, Myrrh, Sandalwood
  • Solar Plexus This data bank is our power center, around the navel and kidneys, this center helps us manage our gut instincts, boundaries, willpower, and feelings of confidence and worth. When someone feels uncomfortable they will frequently put something in front of their solar plexus, whether it be their hands, a purse, or even a cushion during a challenging conversation, literally shielding this energy center. This is our center for empathy and empathic feeling and intuition. Journal Prompt: How do you feel about yourself?                                                                Corresponding Essential Oil:Lavender (especially when my solar plexus is out of balance and Im in anxiety), Sage, Cedar, Chamomile and Citrus oils
  • Heart The heart is the center part of our being, it’s responsible for the flow to our whole body, if the heart is shut down we aren’t truly living and the same can be said for the heart chakra! This is where we hold our sense of balanced giving and receiving of love, how we choose to nourish and center ourselves, where we justify what is loving and what is reasonable to do for love.          Journal Prompt: How do you feel in your relationships with others?                                           Corresponding Essential Oil:Lavender, Rose, Jasmine, Rosemary, Sage
  • Throat The throat chakra is our center of communication, it’s our outward expression whether that be singing, or reinforcing a boundary by saying ‘No’, as the solar plexus is our powerhouse where we choose boundaries, the throat carries through in expressing our will power outwards. Out of balance, a person may fail to stand up for themselves or perhaps may be overly aggressive and belittle others. Having a blockage here frequently causes the sensation of ‘having a frog in my throat’. What’s most fascinating is that this chakra and outwardly expresses energy from the lower chakras OR the higher chakras such as the third eye and crown when channeling. Perhaps this chakra is responsible for our clairgustance?                                                                                 Journal Prompt: Can you speak up for whats on your heart and mind?                         Corresponding Essential Oil: Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Whisper Blend by doTERRA
  • Third Eye. One I have been curious about is Blue Lotus, its known to have properties to enhance psychic vision, I typicall use the flowers in the bath, but an oil could be lovely! Also, I have to wonder if Sage wouldn’t be exceptionally wonderful at the temples,… Our databank for our vision, located at the level of the eyes, and referred to as the Third eye because of its positioning it’s not surprising that this is where we see things on a nonphysical level. In balance a person can have good foresight here, out of balance they may have failed to have sight of what was coming or could be seeing things that aren’t there. This chakra is directly used for manifesting through visualization. Our clairvoyance is in this chakra, as well as our clairaudience.                                                                                                                                  Journal Prompt: What can you see yourself doing? Or How can you see yourself succeeding? Corresponding Essential Oil: Not an oil found many places but I adore using Moldavite oil on this point, especially before bed! There aren’t many oils I do place here but occasionally I do Frankincense and Lavender
  • Crown Occasionally referred to as the seat of the soul, this data bank is where we communicate with Source, where divine wisdom and life force flow into the body or up through to the Divine. Our clair knowing is stored in this chakra and this is also where wishes are granted, where we surrender and learn to trust the Universe and our purpose/roles within it.                                                   Journal Prompt: Do you feel you are on path? Or in alignment with the Universe’s plan for you?         Corresponding Essential Oil:Sandalwood, Rose, Neroli, Jasmine, Lavender, Myrrh
