Discover Why Hypnosis Works so Quickly

You're about to discover that hypnosis is something you've already experienced.

The difference? I'm going to help you to use it to create lasting change.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state your mind enters every day—like right before you fall asleep or as you’re waking up. It’s not magic. It’s a way to help change thoughts and habits by working with your subconscious mind, which controls much of what you do.

Have you ever been so focused on a movie that you felt part of the story, even though you knew it wasn’t real? Or so into your phone that you didn’t hear someone talking to you? That’s a kind of natural trance.

A hypnotherapist helps guide your mind into this focused state we call hypnosis.

When you're in hypnosis, it feels so normal that you might not even realize you're in it.

What is the subconscious mind?

The subconscious mind is like a computer’s hard drive. It stores all your memories and experiences. It also notices patterns—things you do over and over—and repeats them automatically, like running on autopilot. It doesn’t decide what’s good or bad; it just stores and repeats.

Your subconscious shapes how you see yourself—your habits, beliefs, and behaviors. It becomes your identity. You might even say, “That’s just who I am.”

By age 35, research shows we run about 95% of our lives on autopilot, thinking and doing the same things without realizing it. Younger minds are usually more open to change.

The subconscious is also called the unconscious mind. One of the best ways to access it is through hypnosis.

What is the conscious mind?

The conscious mind is the part you’re aware of. It’s your inner voice and helps you think, plan, and make choices. It figures out what to do when you meet someone new or face a new situation.

But once it gathers information, it turns to the subconscious mind for direction. The subconscious makes sure your actions match your past patterns and identity. So, in the end, the conscious mind follows the lead of the subconscious.

That’s why it’s so hard to break a habit using just willpower or discipline. The real problem is the programming in the subconscious, which can leave you feeling stuck and unsure how to change.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes! Anyone open to hypnosis can experience it. With a trained professional, the approach is tailored just for you.

Clients often say it’s easy, relaxing, and something they can keep using to support their success even after the sessions end.

Will I be asleep?

No. Movies and TV often make it seem like hypnosis means being asleep or having amnesia, but that’s not true. Hypnosis is actually a state of focused awareness. You’ll still hear sounds around you, proving you’re alert and in control the whole time. I use post-hypnotic suggestions, so you’ll remember everything from your session.

As you get more comfortable with hypnosis, you might feel like you dozed off—but you’re not asleep. You’ll still be able to open your eyes easily when the session ends.

What does it feel like?

At the end of your session, I’ll ask how it felt—because each experience is different. Some people say they felt light, like floating; others say they felt heavy, like a rock. But most say they felt deeply relaxed and look forward to feeling it again.

Many are surprised by how normal hypnosis feels. Movies often make it seem magical, but really, your mind stays alert and focused on the experience or the words being said.

Hypnosis is also cumulative. With each session, you can go deeper and build on the progress from the one before.

Will I lose control?

No. Hypnosis is a state of mind that only happens with your consent. You’ll hear everything I say and can’t be made to do anything against your values. You also won’t reveal any secrets.

Some people worry they’re “too strong-willed” to be hypnotized, but the truth is—good focus and concentration actually help you go into hypnosis more easily.

I have a friend who tried hypnosis and says it didn't work. Why?

Success with hypnosis depends on two things: your willingness to change and the skill of the hypnotist.

If someone doesn’t truly want to change—like a smoker coming only to please a spouse—they won’t be open to the suggestions. But if they’re ready to quit for themselves, they’re set up for success.

Hypnosis isn’t one-size-fits-all. I’ll create a process tailored to your personal goals.

Are you a hypnotist or a hypnotherapist?

The words “hypnotist” and “hypnotherapist” mean the same thing. One isn’t better than the other.

I’m not a medical doctor, and hypnosis is not medical treatment or advice.

As a business owner, I’ll share that about three times more people search for “hypnotist” than “hypnotherapist.”

Some clients say they searched for a “hypnotist” because other therapies didn’t help. While I understand that feeling, the terms are equal.

Most major hypnosis organizations let graduates choose either title. The difference often comes down to wording, especially around the word “therapy,” which is protected by law in some places. But hypnosis itself isn’t licensed in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Australia—it’s regulated by private groups.

How long does it take?

Hypnosis isn’t magic, but it can create fast change. Most clients book a package of sessions so we can use your time well and get lasting results.

This approach allows for personalized sessions, ongoing support, and tools to strengthen your progress.

Many people feel benefits after the first session, though hypnosis works best as a process.

What happens during my first session?

Your first session is the longest. Even though we’ve already spoken, we’ll spend extra time so I can understand you better and choose the best tools and techniques to help you.

In most sessions, I’ll teach you something useful so you can support your own progress and feel empowered, not dependent on me. If you’re serious about lasting change, you’ll practice between sessions to help make the change part of who you are.

Before we begin hypnosis, I’ll explain what to expect, share my first experience with hypnosis, and answer any questions you have.

We’ll end the session with hypnosis, and afterward, I’ll email you a recap of what we covered.

I’m committed to helping you succeed—and if you feel I’ve earned it, I’d love for you to share your experience to help others looking for support.
